Where are Tropical Glow products made?
Our products are made in Hawai'i (commonly known as the Big Island of Hawai'i) in United States of America.
How are Tropical Glow artisan soaps different from commercial soaps?
Popular "brand soaps" found in most drug stores or supermarkets aren't really soaps. They contain mostly surfactants and chemicals that are similar to detergents that you use to wash dishes or laundry. On the other hand, Tropical Glow soaps are made using the traditional, cold process, saponification method where natural oils, fats, and vegetable butters are mixed with sodium hydroxide to make well balanced nourishing soaps with natural occurring glycerin, a great humectant that helps the skin to retain moisture and is not irritant. After using our products, you will feel the difference in your skin and just love it!

What is saponification, cold process method used in making Tropical Glow natural soaps?
Saponification is a process that converts fats, natural oils, or lipids (the acid) into soap by combining them with Sodium Hydroxide (the base). The chemical reaction relies on friction and self-generated heat. Through saponification, the acid and the base are neutralized, and converted into soap. The result is soap that retains natural glycerin, which attracts moisture to the skin. This makes it suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and dry skin. it has a smooth, creamy texture, gentle lather, and is long lasting.
Can I use Tropical Glow soaps on my hair?
Although our soaps are completely safe to use on your hair. We recommend using our solid shampoo bars because they are specifically formulated to provide a variety of added benefits specifically targeted to the hair and scalp. Check out our shampoo bars products here. They contain no chemicals and no silicones.
Do you offer both options of cold processed soaps: vegan-friendly and also beef tallow based soaps?
Yes, at Tropical Glow you can find soap options for every taste and need in just one place. You can choose what you want by checking the product descriptions and simple list of good ingredients of the product you are interested in. It will tell you exactly what you need to know to pick the best option for your needs.
Can children use your soaps?
Definitely! Our soaps are gentle and safe for the whole family to use including children.
What type of fragrances are used on your products?
We use high quality fragrance oils, and essential oils. Our fragrance oil supplier manufactures their products right here in the USA to ensure quality and consistency. They are phthalate free, paraben free, SLS-SLES free, cruelty free.
What ingredient do you use to give color to your your soap products?
We use cosmetic grade mica powders that are not synthetic. They are added in small amounts to add some color and vibrancy to our unique soap designs.
Are your soaps palm oil-free?
All our products are palm oil-free soaps because of the significant environmental damage associated with palm oil production, including widespread deforestation, and habitat destruction for some endangered species. We find that many other natural oils can be used in soap making; it is our small way to contribute to a more sustainable environment.
How long does each soap bar last on average?
Tropical Glow soaps last 3-4 weeks on average daily use. We recommend using a soap dish to keep it in the shower and storing it out of direct contact with water. This will help extend the life of your bar, and keep it from sticking to the tile. Follow these simple suggestions, lather up and enjoy.
How are your products packaged?
We care about the environment that is why our packaging is recyclable. Our products are sealed in eco-friendly, non-toxic shrink wrap bags to protect product quality, and then placed in individual recyclable soap boxes.
RETURN POLICY QUESTIONS
What is your return and refund policy?
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a refund, no questions asked.
To start a return, contact us at teresa@tropicalglow.store. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Please note that returns will need to be mailed to the following address:

The shipping cost for returning any items shall be covered by the buyer. We don't provide free return shipping labels.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, so that we can make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have. Once the return is received, we will contact you to get the details of the desired item to be exchanged.
Refunds
Once we’ve received your return, you will be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at teresa@tropicalglow.store.
SHIPPING QUESTIONS
How do you ship your orders and do you offer tracking?
We use USPS (United States Postal Service) to ship our products. They offer the best rates and coverage. Please allow 1-2 business days (not including weekends) for your order to process for shipment. When your order has been shipped, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number info.
If you haven't received a shipping confirmation email within 2 business days of placing your order, check your spam folder. If it's not in your spam folder, please contact us at teresa@tropicalglow.store and we'd be happy to look into it for you!
Do you provide expedited shipping?
At checkout, you can choose your shipping option. You can select USPS Priority or USPS Express Mail on all domestic orders.
Do you offer Free Shipping depending on the purchase amount?
We offer free shipping on all US Domestic orders of US$100 or more.
Do you ship to international destinations outside USA?
We are currently shipping to only 25 international destinations as follows: Belgium, Canada, Switzerland, Czechia, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, United Kingdom, Hong Kong SAR, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, and Singapore.
